Marks Sattin are working in exclusive partnership with a Life Sciences business set for rapid growth to recruit an Accounts Payable Specialist as a newly created position within the team. This is a critical role within the finance team, not only in the hands-on capacity of processing Accounts Payable transactions, but in the continued growth and development or processes and systems.

This is a fast paced and changing environment, the ability to adapt and work collaboratively is key.

The Accounts Payable Specialist role will be paying between £30,000 and £35,000 per annum plus discretionary bonus, hybrid working options (3 days in the office minimum), 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.

The Accounts Payable Specialist Role

This role would suit somebody that has a background in Accounts Payable processing alongside exposure to process improvement, projects and wider areas of a transactional finance function. This is a great opportunity to join a business about to experience significant growth offering wide exposure and experience.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead/assist with processing of accounts payable transactions
  • Assist with wider transactional areas including Accounts Receivable
  • Payment runs, bank reconciliations, PO's, expenses
  • Supplier statement reconciliations
  • Issue resolution
  • Assist with upcoming projects and systems enhancements
  • Evaluate current processes and actively drive process improvement in a growth environment

Key Skills and Experience

  • Intermediate Excel
  • Ability to work closely with internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience within a complex/fast paced finance department
  • Ability to problem solve and implement solutions
  • Previous examples of taking ownership and leading on projects
