Marks Sattin is currently partnering with a well-established organisation based in Leeds to recruit a Graduate Assistant Accountant.

This role is ideal for a motivated graduate with strong analytical ability and a genuine interest in finance & trading. You'll be joining a collaborative finance team, gaining hands-on experience across reporting, analysis, and budgeting, with full study support towards a professional qualification (ACCA/CIMA).

Ideally you will have 1/2 years experience within finance since graduating in Maths/Economics or Physics!

Our client will also offer up to £32,000, hybrid working and an opportunity to join a terrific business!

Key Responsibilities:

• Support with journal entries, accruals, and prepayments.
• Assist in producing management reports and variance analysis.
• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and month-end processes.
• Prepare reconciliations, KPIs, and audit support schedules.
• Provide assistance with transactional queries and ad-hoc analysis.

About You:

• Degree-qualified (2:1 or above) in Maths, economics, or a related field.
• Strong Excel and data-handling skills.
• High attention to detail and strong problem-solving ability.
• Organised, proactive, and able to manage competing priorities.
• Interested in developing a career that bridges accounting and trading analysis.
• Studying towards or planning to begin ACCA / CIMA.
