We are actively seeking an Assistant Accountant for a highly reputable company in Manchester City Centre.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a very successful business on a permanent basis.

The main duties include:

  • Assisting the Management Accountant in the timely preparation of monthly management accounts, adhering to strict deadlines.
  • Closing the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable ledgers
  • Reconciling the cashbook
  • Posting accruals, prepayments, and journal entries
  • Ensuring accurate and comprehensive financial reporting
  • Invoicing
  • Bank and Balance Sheet Reconciliation
  • Cash flow forecasting


Our client is looking for a candidate who has:

  • Experience of assisting with management accounts
  • The desire to complete a professional accounting qualification (CIMA/ACCA)
  • The ability to work well in a fast paced, ever changing environment
  • Excellent reporting and analytical skills
  • Good Excel skills
  • The ability to communicate well with both financial non financial professionals
