Start your job searchDue to growth, a newly created Assistant Accountant role has been created to work for an leading Commercial Property business based in Central London. Working for a fast growth business with a global presence this is an opportunity for an ambitious Part Qualified Accountant to progress quickly within the business.
Reporting to and assisting the Financial Controller, you will be working in a team of four and will be responsible for owning the month-end accounting for one of the UK regions.
Responsibilities will include:
- Taking ownership for month-end including journals, accruals and prepayments
- Handling the balance sheet reconciliations
- Profit and loss reporting along
- Assist with the preparation of the monthly, quarterly & year-end reporting
- Management of the fixed asset register
- Dealing with intercompany accounting including extensive multi-currency work
- Supporting the Finance Director with cash flow forecasting
- Taking ownership of the Accounts Payable function
- Business partnering with non-finance stakeholders within the business
The successful candidate will be ACCA or CIMA part qualified who is actively studying towards their qualification, who wants to progress in their career with a fast growth business. You must have previous experience handling month-end accounting including exposure to the balance sheet and be able to take ownership for accruals, prepayments, journals and bank reconciliations.
Previous accounting experience working in the property industry is desired but not essential. You must have excellent communication skills, be a team player and thrive in working in a fast-paced environment.
