Marks Sattin are delighted to be working with a fast-growing Group business in Leeds who are looking to appoint an ambitious Assistant Management Accountant to act as the number two to the Financial Controller.



This is a brilliant opportunity for a motivated finance professional to gain broad exposure across multiple entities and play a key role in driving performance and supporting strategic decision-making.



The Role:


Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you'll take ownership of key areas of the month-end process and management reporting while supporting the continuous improvement of financial systems and controls.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation of monthly management accounts and consolidated P&L packs
• Accruals, prepayments, and detailed variance analysis
• Partnering with operational teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
• Developing KPI and cost centre reporting to improve visibility and performance
• Supporting group forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow processes
• Assisting with ongoing systems and reporting enhancements

About You:


You'll be hands-on, commercially minded, and keen to develop your career in a growing organisation. This role offers genuine progression towards Management Accountant or Finance Manager level.

• Experience within a finance or assistant management accountant role
• Strong working knowledge of Sage (or similar accounting software)
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical mindset
• Organised, proactive, and confident communicator
• Studying AAT / CIMA / ACCA or recently qualified
