A brilliant opportunity has arisen to join an Accountancy Practice in the Solihull area. They are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join their practice. The candidate needs to be someone who worked in an Accountancy Practice previously and be experienced within that environment.
Main duties include:
- Preparations of month end/yearend adjustments including prepayments, accruals, deferred income
- Producing Monthly management accounts and analysing data using Excel
- Bank reconciliations
- Reconciliations of control accounts- creditors, payroll, VAT, PAYE/NIC
- Postings of Bank, sales, purchase, and nominal ledger
- Processing company expenses
- VAT returns/reconciliation/reporting
- Preparation and posting of normal ledger journals and reserves.
- Some Payrolls control.
- Other ad hoc duties.
Ideal candidate will have/be:
- AAT Level 4 qualified
- Experience within an Accountancy Practice
- Xero/SAGE knowledge (advantage)
- Good time management skills
- Good communication skills
- Strong academic background - specifically with numbers and computers
