A Banking client seeking to hire an experienced Business Analyst into their operations fuction as part of a wider Digitial Transformation initiative. Purpose of the role is to support the business by translating business needs into business requirements that can be utilised by development teams and vendors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working with the business to understand and model business functions, business processes, information flows and data structures
  • Investigating operational issues, problems and new opportunities; seeking effective business solutions through improvements in aspects of both business areas and systems
  • Assisting in the analysis of underlying issues and their root causes, and identifying available options to resolve these issues
  • Specifying data, data objects and information flows that align with the needs of the business
  • Producing business analysis artefacts such as: business case, requirements, As-Is and To-Be processes, Request for Proposals (RFP) using relevant documentation styles in line with bank standards
  • Facilitating stakeholder meetings and workshops, and presenting findings and actions both verbally and in writing to the business
  • Assisting in defining user acceptance tests for new or improved business processes and IT systems
  • Assisting in defining holistic solutions that address organisational, people, processes, information and technology aspects, justifying the solutions when supporting the development of a business case for a business change initiative
  • Support the Project Manager through maintenance of project documentation (RAAIDD, Plan etc)
  • Identify project risks and issue recording and escalating where appropriate
  • Support delivery teams as they develop, test, and deploy solutions
  • Review delivery team output to ensure requirements are correctly interpreted; define and execute test cases

SKills & Competencies:

  • 3-5 years exp as a Business Analyst ideally in the Banking/FS space
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Self starter who can work independently
