Mark Sattin Executive Search is working with a high-growth, PE-backed B2B SaaS business. Built on a proven subscription model, the company has achieved strong commercial traction and is now entering its next phase of scale, professionalisation, and value creation in preparation for a successful exit.

The business is seeking a strategic CFO to partner with the CEO and SLT, providing financial leadership, commercial insight, and robust decision support. This role will take full ownership of the finance function, with responsibility for performance reporting, forecasting, cash management, and lender reporting.

The CFO will also play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic and commercial direction of the business, embedding scalable systems and processes, driving operational excellence, and ensuring the finance function supports accelerated growth. A critical aspect of this role will be leveraging transaction services, M&A, and deal experience to support the business through its next phase of investment, growth initiatives, and ultimately a successful PE exit. The CFO will work closely with the Board and investors to maximise value creation and lead the business confidently through its exit journey.

Uniquely, the client would also consider an ambitious candidate on an upward trajectory, taking a step up into their first autonomous CFO role and joining a fast-growing, PE-backed business with significant potential for value creation.

The Ideal Candidate

  • A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, ACMA).
  • Experience in PE-backed, subscription-based SaaS, B2B technology, or tech-enabled businesses.
  • Track record of scaling finance functions and embedding robust systems, processes, and reporting frameworks in high-growth environments.
  • Demonstrated success in driving operational improvements and establishing KPI-led performance management.
  • Experience in Transaction Services, M&A, or deal execution, with the capability to lead the business through a private equity exit.
  • Gravitas to operate as a true business partner to the CEO, Board, and investors.

Please note due to a high volume of applications, only successful candidates will be contacted with further information.

We are happy to provide application and/or accessibility support, please contact your Marks Sattin or Grafton consultant directly to discuss your needs.
