Main Responsibilities:

  • To assume oversight of all IT infrastructure and delivery of IT support and implementation
  • Oversee and recommend IT strategy to ensure alignment with its business goals
  • Research and implement new technologies that deliver competitive advantage and streamline all internal operations to help optimise their strategic benefits
  • Procure the Design and customisation of IT systems and platforms to improve customer experience and maximise internal effectiveness
  • Facilitate departments' use of technology to ensure appropriateness and fitness for purpose
  • Plan the implementation of new systems and provide guidance to IT professionals and other staff within the organisation
  • Approve purchases of IT equipment and software and establish effective partnerships with IT providers
  • Oversee the IT infrastructure (networks and computer systems) to ensure appropriate functionality, optimal performance and service delivery within the financial constraints.
  • Provide Executive Committee oversight of the IT and Business Change related activities
  • Analyse the costs, value, and risks of information technology to advise management and suggest actions
  • Monitor KPIs and IT budgets to assess technological performance
  • Use stakeholder feedback to inform improvements and adjustments to technology

Core Skills Required:

  • Strategic thinker and strong business acumen
  • Well-versed in current technological trends and familiar with a variety of business concepts
  • Strong and proven people management and leadership skills
  • Proven experience as CIO/CTO or similar managerial role
  • Excellent knowledge of IT systems, infrastructure and trends to build strategy
  • Background in designing/developing IT systems and/or planning IT implementation
  • Solid understanding of data analysis, budgets and business planning
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Excellent organisational, leadership and communications skills
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
