Position: Commercial Finance Analyst

The Role: Reporting to the Commercial Business Partner for the Multiples, you will be responsible for commercial finance aspects of a number of large retailers.

The Commercial Finance Analyst is responsible for supporting the Sales team to maximise profitable growth through: * Management & interpretation of all aspects of customer profitability. * Provide commercial guidance & decision support to ensure business targets are achieved & investment optimized. * Aid the forecasting and budgeting processes, providing input & challenge ensuring a clear understanding to the business of performance drivers, risks & opportunities. * Support various business improvement / process improvement initiatives across the business. * Manage customer accruals on terms and promotional investment & pricing (especially as part of the price increase process) and liaise with our shared financial service function to ensure we are financially covered and that communication lines are kept open and clear. * Liaise closely with operations to understand the key operational cost to ensure true costs are adequately reflected in the customer P&Ls. * Ad hoc analysis to support the Commercial Business Partner.

Skills / Experience

The successful candidate will: * Qualified accountant ideally with experience in an FMCG type environment. * Understanding and appreciation of sales environment. * Effective influencer, especially communicating complex financial information to non-financial managers at a senior level in an organization. * Able to work with ambiguity/time pressure & have high levels of resilience. * Strong interpersonal & team skills allied with a sense of urgency. * Advanced analytical skills, with good Excel skills. * Experience working outside a financial environment e.g. in sales or marketing or with negotiation would be a great benefit.
