Job Title: Interim Systems Accountant - Oracle Fusion

Location: West Midlands

Working Pattern: Hybrid (2 days in office)

Day Rate: £400 - £500 per day

Duration: 6 months

About the Opportunity:

A leading organisation in the West Midlands is seeking an experienced Interim Systems Accountant to support the finance function during a period of significant change. This is a hands‑on, business‑critical role focused on system maintenance, optimisation, and ensuring the smooth running of Oracle Cloud ERP (Fusion) across the finance team.

• Act as the primary finance lead for Oracle Cloud ERP (Finance modules), ensuring the system is stable, accurate, and fully supporting business needs.
• Manage day‑to‑day system maintenance, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
• Develop and refine Oracle reports, ensuring high‑quality outputs for finance and operational stakeholders.
• Use SQL to interrogate data, validate information flows, and support reporting requirements.
• Liaise closely with the organisation's third‑party support provider, ensuring effective communication, prioritisation, and delivery of fixes or enhancements.
• Support finance teams with system queries, training, and best‑practice guidance.
• Contribute to ongoing process improvements and ensure strong financial controls within the system.

• Proven experience as a Systems Accountant or similar finance systems role.
• Strong hands‑on knowledge of Oracle Cloud ERP (Fusion) - particularly the finance modules.
• Experience in system maintenance, configuration, and issue resolution.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, especially when working with external support partners.
• Working knowledge of Power BI, including data modelling and dashboard creation.
