Financial Controller
Our high growth, PE-backed client in the tech/SAAS industry are looking for a new Financial Controller to join their team. Reporting into the Financial Director, this is a key position where you will be tasked with leading the finance team of their IT division.
Key responsibilities
- Lead divisional financial reporting, ensuring timely, accurate monthly results and clear insight into performance drivers.
- Provide strategic finance partnership to senior leaders, translating data into actions that support operational and commercial decision‑making.
- Oversee annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes for the IT division.
- Strengthen financial controls, processes, and governance across multiple business units.
- Manage and develop a small finance team, ensuring high‑quality output and effective workflow management.
- Produce short‑term cashflow forecasts and safeguard balance sheet integrity through regular reconciliations.
- Identify and support initiatives to improve profitability, efficiency, and KPI performance.
- Lead the financial implementation workstream for a major system migration, including process design, testing, and training.
- Guide and review sales commission structures and calculations for the division.
- Support group‑level audit, tax, and compliance requirements relating to the IT division.
The ideal candidate will be a fully qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA), with proven experience in a leading financial reporting position. Strong technical capability will be needed to ensure timely and accurate monthly results are reported, providing key strategic information, and overseeing wider financial responsibilities, including their budgeting and forecasting processes. Strong systems experience including excel is needed, with NetSuite experience being highly desirable.
