The details
The role:
- The services relate to coordinating the company secretarial team; secretarial services, corporate governance and compliance, support to non-Executive Directors, corporate restructuring and additional project work as required.
- Act as the central point of contact for Company Secretarial activities within the Legal Department, providing guidance, training, and ongoing support to the Legal Team.
- Deliver core company secretarial services for UK incorporated/managed group companies, including board and shareholder documentation, meeting support, statutory filings, and accounts-related matters.
- Advise on UK corporate governance and internal compliance requirements, ensuring adherence to applicable governance frameworks and internal authorities. Provide ad-hoc legal and company secretarial support on transactions, constitutional documents, and other corporate matters.
- Coordinate internal and external audits, maintain statutory records, and monitor legislative and regulatory changes affecting UK companies.
- Maintain and update legal and company secretarial systems and records.
The ideal candidate:
- Law Qualification
- Worked for a large organisation
- Hold the ICSA or equivalent qualification.
- Company Secretarial 5-7+ years.
- Strong communications skills, able to work effectively at all levels of an organisation.
- Energy sector experience is advantageous
