Job Description

This position will be a key member within a small team playing an important role in continuing to build and develop the function to genuine "Best in Class" standards. The candidate will be a member of a new Private Wealth distribution compliance team, which will serve as the primary day to day counsel to firm's Private Wealth Solutions (PWS) business with respect to fund distribution, marketing materials and other communications and documents provided to investors. You will also work closely with others on the firm's global Legal and Compliance (L&C) team.

The position has total backing within the business and the appointee will be given all the tools and resources required to be successful in the role.

More Specifically, the Candidate Will

• Provide dedicated legal and compliance support to the PWS EMEA business.
• Review marketing materials, due diligence responses, investor communications and other fundraising and reporting related materials across various investment strategies from a legal, regulatory and compliance perspective.
• Maintain records of approved marketing materials and investor communications across Europe.
• Assist in developing and maintaining internal policies, procedures and current regulatory guidance with respect to marketing.
• Provide jurisdictional guidance on AIFMD/MiFID/CBDF and other European marketing regimes.
• Assist with other day-to-day legal and compliance matters if/as needed.

Qualifications

• Prior experience at a law firm, at an investment management firm and/or at a private bank.
• Prior experience in a relevant marketing compliance role.
• Understanding of AIFMD, MiFID and other European marketing regulations very desirable.
• Prior experience with alternative investment funds retail distribution very desirable.
• Fluency in French, German or Italian an asset.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Strong drafting and organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly, confidently and effectively.
• Ability to work independently while remaining a strong team player.
• Ability to interpret legal and business terms.
