My client is seeking an entrepreneurial, proactive and ambitious individual to join their growing capital markets team.

The Analyst will focus on debt financing and advisory mandates but will also gain exposure to our equity transactions.

The role would suit an Analyst from a bank, credit fund or debt advisory practice (including Big 4) seeking a more interesting, commercial and diverse role in a close-knit team with greater responsibility.

The role offers direct client contact and exposure to a diverse range of corporate clients, working under the direction of an Associate Director and Associate.

Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting research and monitoring the market in respect of target clients and origination opportunities
  • Credit analysis, due diligence and financial modelling
  • Market, sector and trends research and analysis, including monitoring the fixed income markets
  • Supporting the team on client development, marketing and pitches
  • Deal execution, including negotiating legal documentation, preparing investor marketing materials (term sheets, IMs / company descriptions), and liaising with investors and external counterparties
  • Managing post deal completion matters, including liaising with security trustees, paying & receiving agents and stock exchange listing sponsors
  • Ongoing monitoring of active MTN programme issuers
  • Knowledge and database building and maintenance
  • Ongoing departmental administrative matters and reporting


REQUIREMENTS

  • 2:1 degree or higher that has provided relevant skills
  • Post graduate financial qualifications advantageous
  • 1 - 3 years of relevant experience in a financial institution
  • Highly numerate with strong financial analysis and modelling skills
  • Excellent written communication and attention to detail
  • Presentable and highly credible with senior-level clients

As part of a small, nimble team in a growing company the Analyst will be expected to deliver impactful work throughout the deal cycle and be able to manage a varied workload. Direct involvement with clients will be required from the outset. The successful candidate will have an entrepreneurial mindset, broad perspective and desire to grow with the business.
