**Position: Management Accountant /Deputy Finance Manager
**Location: South Manchester
**Salary: 35 -38k DOE
**Job Type: Full-Time , 2.30pm finish on Fridays!
Our client are a leading manufacturer in their industry, who are committed to innovation, excellence, and sustainable growth. We are seeking a talented and experienced Deputy Finance Manager to join their dynamic team and contribute to financial strategy and operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Taking responsibility for month end for a company within the group
- Manage cash flow by tracking transactions and regularly reviewing internal reports
- Suggest updates and improvements for accounting systems, including payroll and invoicing
- Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported
- Work with operational managers to identify cost reduction opportunities
- Report to the FC with timely and accurate financial information
- Overseeing transactional processes including AP/AP close
- Liaising with third party providers, clients and suppliers
- Any Ad Hoc Tasks requested by FC or Div FC needed to support accounts function
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; PQ ACCA or CIMA preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a management accounting role, preferably within the manufacturing/retail/logistics sector
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Sage)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
