Financial Controller for business unit within a £30m turnover company.

Our client have been on an exciting growth journey in recent years. What began as a small investment business is now a complex group of companies with combined turnover of close to £30m and is continuing with this growth over the next 5 years.

A vacancy has arisen for a financial controller to lead the day-to-day finance function for one of their business units.

This position is based in Leeds

Key Responsibilities

• Maintenance of accurate and complete accounting records
• To maintain a robust system of processes and controls
• Preparation of timely and accurate monthly management accounts and KPI reporting pack, delivering insightful information and commentary to senior management
• Preparation of weekly sales and KPI reports
• To lead the annual budgeting process
• Preparation of weekly/monthly cash flow forecasts
• To maintain control of divisional costs and contribute towards cost saving initiatives
• Processing of payroll and PAYE returns
• Preparation of annual statutory accounts
• Primary point of contact for audit
• To support a small team

Experience Knowledge and Skills

• Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent)
• Previous experience in a similar role in industry
• Good computer skills (Excellent standard in Excel)
• Experience with MS Dynamics (preferential, but not essential)
