A leading multi-strategy European hedge fund that has grown exponentially in AUM since inception are looking to hire a Finance Analyst into their robust middle office function based in Central London.

The firm have been growing in headcount over the past few years with a particular emphasis on that growth being within their middle office and due to recent internal promotions within the team they are now looking to fill this role.

This is a particularly exciting opportunity to be part of a team that day-to day work closely with front office on new deals coming through, fund accounting, legal and oversea and manager external service providers such as; auditors and accounting administrators.

Responsibilities in the role include;

  • Coordinate the production and review of the financial and management accounts for the firms related parties with the third-party Administrators.
  • Streamline reporting to the Administrators to facilitate accurate reporting - improve the processes around sharing information, such as cash balances, trades and strategy overviews.
  • Work collaboratively with middle office's Fund Accounting team to accurately reflect the related parties trading strategies in the portfolio management system.
  • Be a "business manager" for the investment team on the related parties. Build a strong working relationship with the investment and legal teams - assisting in the coordination and liaison of new and existing deals.
  • Build, develop and maintain strong cohesive relationships with third parties located around Europe such as; administrators and auditors
  • Project work: assist in coordinating and re-scoping engagements with Administrators. Formalise and professionalise schedules and planning to manage requirements for related parties.

The ideal candidate;

  • ACA qualified in a mid-tier practice looking to make their first move into industry (0-2 years PQE) OR A fully qualified accountant already working in a finance role within another Asset Manager
  • If coming straight from audit, experience auditing FCA regulated firms is preferable
  • Excellent proven relationship management skills
  • Able to demonstrate the desire to work in asset management
  • Enjoys working in a role your sleeves up, collaborative environment
