Start your job searchMarks Sattin are currently recruiting a Finance Assistant on behalf of a well established Law firm, based in Central Bradford.
Working as part of a successful finance team, my client are looking for someone with a transactional background who is studying or has studied AAT, to assist the Finance Team in preparation of monthly Management Accounts and general financial administrative support.
Duties will include, however not be limited to;
- Assisting in preparation of monthly management accounts including accruals, prepayments & journals
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Maintenance of fixed assets & prepare depreciation schedules
- Preparation of quarterly VAT return
- Overhead/Variance analysis
- Checking & posting bills
- Ad-hoc reporting
- Sending month end reports to partners
- Month end processing and switch over
- Dealing with residual balances
- Bank reconciliations
- Posting petty cash and reconciliation
- Ensure all client transactions comply with Solicitors Accounts Rules
- Inputting purchase ledger invoices on to system
- Carry out general administration tasks as required
- Produce ad-hoc MI using excel
- Maintain confidentially in all matters relating to Partnership finances & client accounts
- Assist with auditors requests
The successful candidate will have;
- Previous experience within an accounts function
- Excellent communication and organisation skills
- Excellent IT skills including intermediate level MS Excel
- AAT qualified or studying towards
Working hours are 9am - 5:30pm Monday to Friday
25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
Study support
4 days in the office and 1 day at home
