Position: Permanent, Full Time

An exciting opportunity has landed on my desk for a Finance Assistant to join a leading manufacturing business based in Tamworth, Staffordshire. Looking for an experienced Finance Assistant to join a growing team to offer support to Financial Controller and to gain more experience within a variety of areas.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Invoice processing, matching, and resolving queries.
  • Maintain customer database and resolving any issues/discrepancies.
  • Chasing aged debts/overdue accounts
  • Bank and Statement bank reconciliations.
  • Matching delivery notes to Purchase Order notes.
  • Maintaining internal database to ensure accurate budgeting/forecasting to support decision making.
  • Posting and reconciling bank transaction receipts/payments/sweeps.
  • Working on site but able to support Transactional processes elsewhere through ERP system.
  • Supporting other finance roles covering holiday periods.
  • Other ad hoc duties

Ideal Candidate:

  • Over 3 years' experience as a Finance Assistant or similar role
  • Manufacturing sector experience
  • Ambition to learn and develop.
  • Actively studying towards a financial qualification (AAT/CIMA/ACCA)
  • ERP experience is advantageous but not essential.

This position is for candidates who have full right to work in the UK and who can work on site 5 days per week.
