The details

Finance Business Partner | London | Hybrid | Hospitality | FTC - £60-£65k - 9 month Contract

What you will be doing:

  • Own month‑end close and management reporting
  • Produce regular commercial performance updates for senior stakeholders
  • Analyse revenue, margins, staffing costs and key financial drivers
  • Build, manage and update budgets, forecasts and projections
  • Track spend against budget, investigating and challenging variances
  • Ensure purchase orders are raised, approved and compliant
  • Reconcile cash and card takings to support accurate revenue recognition
  • Partner closely with operations and project teams throughout the event lifecycle
  • Produce financial insight to support operational decision‑making
  • Support audit processes and year‑end requirements
  • Maintain accurate stock, cost reconciliations
  • Manage end‑to‑end finance activities
  • Prepare cashflow forecasts
  • Contribute to process improvements and ad‑hoc finance projects

Who they are looking for:

  • Prior experience in a commercial finance role within events, venues, hospitality, retail, or a project‑led environment
  • Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting and month‑end reporting
  • Proven ability to partner with non‑finance stakeholders
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail and deadline focus

Qualifications

  • Part‑qualified CIMA, ACCA or ACA (finalists welcome)
