Marks Sattin Executive Search are working with a Privately Owned multisite Professional Services company based throughout the UK. They are a highly successful business and have had rapid expansion, which has delivered a strong financial performance and EBITDA year on year.

The Finance Director will be based in London (Flexible throughout UK) or possibility for a hybrid working model. You will work in partnership with the Managing Director and wider board to define and deliver a strategy that will deliver profitable growth and value creation. As Finance Director your remit will be to bring the finance function inhouse for the first time and lead and implement systems, processes and controls.

The role will also involve setting up and developing KPIs from scratch, in order to analyse business performance to enhance and enable organic growth of the business.

The successful candidate:

• A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, ACMA), preferably chartered
• Extensive experience in working as an autonomous Finance Director or Divisional Finance Director in a Professional Services, Consultancy, Engineering, Building surveying and or related sectors.
• Be proactive and entrepreneurial with exceptional interpersonal skills, and be a skilled communicator.
• Experience of working closely with non-finance heads to guide them through and mentor.
• Ability to identify and implement systems, processes and controls is a must.
• Previous experience of insourcing a finance function to include building and developing a team, not essential but preferable.
• Strong business acumen in defining KPIs in a people-based business I.e. professional services, consultancy, engineering, people-based businesses.
