Finance Manager (non qualified) - Remote (Must be UK based) - £50,000 to £55,000

We are excited to offer this fully remote Finance Manager role for our Software clients. Although the role is remote the expectation is you will be based in the UK. We are not looking for someone fully qualified hence the salary point but rather a safe pair of hands, someone reliable that can get themselves up to speed quickly.

Ideally you will have experience working in a small company reporting into a large corporate, we need someone that would be able to come in and look at processes in order to make then as efficient as possible, you'll be technically sound but with a desire to make improvements.

Reporting into the MD there is a big focus on peer to peer learning.

You'll play a key part in shaping the future of the business, making sure financial operations are rock-solid and ready to support the next stage of growth.

You'll take ownership of everything from day-to-day accounting to big-picture financial planning and risk management. You'll also be the go-to person for audits and compliance, helping to keep the company stay on track, If you're excited by the idea of working closely with a collaborative leadership team and helping drive a growing company forward, we'd love to hear from you.

A little more about the job....

  • Financial Management & Accounting
  • Lead and manage all day-to-day accounting operations, including billing, accounts receivable/payable, general ledger, cost and inventory accounting, fixed assets, and revenue recognition
  • Ensure timely and accurate recording, filing, and reporting of all financial transactions in compliance with statutory law and financial regulations
  • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including management accounts, statutory accounts, and board reports
  • Coordinate the budgeting and forecasting processes, producing variance analysis to support decision-making
  • Manage the transaction processing system and liaise with group finance to consolidate financial results
  • Implement and manage financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to maintain a strong control environment. Regulatory Compliance & Audits
  • Ensure all relevant documents are filed with Companies House on time
  • Manage regulatory compliance requirements, including: − Quarterly VAT returns − Payroll tax and pension processing − Annual P11D & PSA submissions − R&D relief claims − S455 corporation tax submissions Strategic Financial Planning & Risk Management
  • Take ownership of payroll operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with HMRC and pension regulations

A little about you....

  • Proven experience in a similar financial leadership role
  • A strong technical background in financial and management reporting, budgeting, compliance, and internal controls
  • Tech-savvy, with solid knowledge of accounting systems and tools, and advanced Excel skills
