Financial Accountant - your first step into industry

Are you an ACA or ACCA-qualified accountant working in audit and ready to make your first move into industry? This is your opportunity to join a growing and dynamic Gloucester business where you'll play a key role in shaping the finance function as the business continues to expand.

What you'll do

• Prepare monthly management accounts and assist with annual statutory accounts.
• Own month-end and year-end processes, including reconciliations and journal entries.
• Liaise with external auditors, ensuring smooth audit processes.
• Handle VAT returns, corporation tax calculations, and reporting.
• Support budgeting, variance analysis, and provide insightful financial commentary.

What we're looking for

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) - ideal for those coming from audit.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and attention to detail.
• Excellent Excel skills (pivot tables, SUMIF, LOOKUP).
• A proactive, inquisitive mindset with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
