Start your job searchA highly regarded US Private Equity Real Estate Investor is looking is continuing to build out its high-performing finance team in the London office.
The business is looking to hire a qualified accountant from the real estate investment industry (Senior Fund Accountant / Finance Manager circa 3 years PQE) that is looking to make that step up to a Fund Controller
The Role will be to take financial ownership and related co-investments, providing support on all financial, reporting, tax and liquidity matters. The fund holds a diversified portfolio of properties with the view to refurbishing and longer-term development opportunities to deliver capital growth, balanced with secure longer-term income.
- Coordinate quarterly financial statements and investor NAV/distribution statements for and co-investments.
- Co-ordination of management reporting package including materials for the quarterly meeting of the Jersey Manager and Investor Advisory Committee.
- Oversight of external Jersey Fund Administrators.
- Work with the Development and Fund Administration teams to prepare capital call notices to investors.
- Support the Investment team on all Fund transactions - acquisitions, disposals, refinancing, restructurings etc.
- Responsible for cash and liquidity management and monitoring of expenses to budget.
- Establish close working relationships with tax advisors and legal counsel to ensure we are meeting all local statutory, regulatory and tax requirements.
- Preparing quarterly investor reporting and responding to other ad hoc requests.
- Co-ordinate the annual audit and related co-investment vehicles.
- Monitoring and reporting of financial covenants in line with credit facility agreements and Trust Instruments.
- Ensure we track and respond to investor requests in a timely manner.
Candidate Profile
- The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with 3+ years post qualified experience.
- It is essential that the candidate must be confident, and a self-starter, with the ability to operate in a dynamic environment. He or she must also be an excellent team player who will enjoy working in a small team.
- IFRS experience is preferable.
