One of Europe's leading Venture Capital firms are looking to hire a commercial fund finance manager to join their small team. The business in question has an enviable track record; having been chosen by exceptional entrepreneurs as a lasting partner for development for over 20 years.
The role is broad and will suit those who enjoy variety, your responsibilities will include:
- Assist with the portfolio analysis and valuation
- Liaising with investment managers to review and refine the valuations of holdings;
- Reviewing and reporting on key performance indicators of the portfolio;
- Liaising with portfolio company FD/CFOs and ensuring the smooth running of the internal portfolio financial data system.
- Preparation and production of quarterly reports.
- Deal database management to track investment accounting data from external providers.
- Oversee and confirm the accuracy of capital calls and distributions to investors.
- Management of the monthly cashflows and cash balances.
- Liaising with external accountants to resolve queries and ensure rapid, accurate reporting.
- Ad-hoc duties as required.
In terms of candidate they are open on background and will adjust the package to reflect the person; they will look at those with Private Equity experience from within in the big4, someone who has done a year within a finance function outside of practice (ideally within an alternative investment management business) or an individual who had qualified through a fund administrator.
Whatever your background you must be bright, personable and passionate about the asset class.
This is an exciting and rare opportunity for an accountant to become an integral part of the London Finance/Operations team. The role is based in the heart of Soho and you will report directly to the Deputy-CFO who has nearly a decade of experience within VC.
