Start your job searchMarks Sattin are delighted to be working in partnership with a leading Financial Services business to recruit a Group Tax Manager.
Reporting to the Group Tax Senior Manager, the Group Tax Manager will play a key role in this well established and high performing in house tax team, helping to shape the tax strategy and ensuring compliance across the group.
The Group Tax Manager will enjoy working in a broad tax role that will involve the following aspects:
- Corporate transactions
- Investments, divestments and reorganisations
- Managing UK compliance including returns, relief planning and payments
- Preparing and reviewing VAT returns
- Employment taxes including share schemes and off-payroll working
- Assisting with operational taxes and reporting
- Ensuring robust systems and controls are in place
In order to be considered for the opportunity, candidates will be ACA/ACCA/CTA qualified and have a proven track record in a tax focused role, either in practice or industry. In addition to technical tax expertise, it's essential that candidates also possess outstanding interpersonal and communication skills in order to build credible relationships with senior internal stakeholders, HMRC and external advisors.
In addition to a competitive salary and benefits package, the successful candidate will be eligible for an on target bonus of 10%. The business also have a generous pension scheme. There will be lots of scope for professional development and the opportunity to learn for some some talented senior tax professionals.
The business work flexibly and there is a hybrid working policy. The team typically work from the office 1-2 days per week.
