Location: [Birmingham / Hybrid]

Marks Sattin are working in partnership with a Private Equity backed organisation in Central Birmingham to recruit a Head of FP&A on a permanent basis. This is a hybrid working role, with up to 3 days expected in office.

Following recent investment, my client is is now focused on delivering an exciting growth strategy which will include internal system and process transformation and external acquisitions.

The Head of FP&A will report to the Chief Financial Officer and will be seen as a key hire to work with the finance and executive teams to help deliver the plan.


The Head of FP&A will be responsible for:

  • Develop detailed models used for budgeting and setting financial and operational goals
  • Lead financial modelling efforts to evaluate various business scenarios, assess risks, and support investment decisions, including in respect of M&A activity
  • Support in the preparation of regular performance reports for the executive team
  • Support in the introduction and development of systems and applications to enhance reporting capabilities
  • Supporting the development of systems, processes and reporting to drive the business forward
  • Managing requests from the Exec Team around the provision of information and strategy
  • Contributing to the success of the Senior Leadership Team and strategic direction of the business
  • Ensuring the adherence to guidelines and accounting standards


The ideal candidate will be:

  • ACA Qualified
  • Experienced in an FP&A focused role
  • Commercially astute with the ability to see the bigger picture to drive the business forward
  • Proven financial leadership experience, with exposure/dealings with an executive team
  • Financial modelling and analysis skills. Knowledge of Power BI would be an advantage
  • An ambitious and highly motivated individual who is keen to grow with the business
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
