Interim Head of FP&A | Manchester | Up to £80,000 | 12-Month Contract

A dynamic and transformation-focused subsidiary is seeking an experienced Interim Head of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to lead a strategic finance engagement during a period of operational restructuring. This is a high-impact, project-based role ideal for a seasoned finance professional with a strong background in turnaround assignments and systems implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Restructure the financial planning framework in alignment with strategic goals
  • Implement scalable forecasting tools integrated with data lake infrastructure
  • Lead KPI reporting, scenario analysis, and business planning
  • Drive cost rationalisation and margin improvement initiatives
  • Deliver automated planning models and dashboards in collaboration with IT and data teams
  • Support restructuring activities and strategic decision-making through financial simulations
  • Ensure transparent reporting and integration with group-level transformation frameworks
  • Manage transition plans for handover to steady-state finance leadership

About You:

  • 10+ years of FP&A and finance transformation experience
  • Proven success in interim or restructuring roles, ideally within subsidiaries
  • Strong systems background with tools like Adaptive Insights, Anaplan, Power BI
  • Skilled in financial modelling, Excel, and business intelligence; SQL knowledge is a plus
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Comfortable working under pressure and delivering high-quality outputs quickly
