Start your job searchOne of our clients is looking for a Head of Investment Risk with experience in building and leading investment risk functions in an asset manager on an interim basis, as a temporary replacement for the current Head of Investment Risk.
Start Date: November 2023/December 2023
Role Requirements & Responsibilities:
- A Director level candidate who has experience of running an Investment Risk function in 1st line for 5 to 10 years at an asset manager with exposure to quantitative modelling techniques for fund counterparty, market, liquidity and credit risk. Expert in fund liquidity risk, stress testing, redemption modelling, etc.
- Exposure to equities, fixed income, real estate asset classes
- Support the design, validation and implementation of models and other tools used to support the construct of the wider investment portfolio
- Use outputs and own expertise to advise on the risk management implications for investment strategy
- Create and maintain a suite of risk metrics that accurately reflect the risk profile of the Fund
- Provide Risk oversight on all new products and asset classes being consider by the Investment Team
- Work with existing/future external Investment Risk fund managers to ensure optimising the services/functionality available to the Investment Team
- Experience with investment fund compliance (UCITS, NURS, etc)
- Strong leadership qualities of bringing the team together, balancing BAU with change projects
- Strong experience of engagement with UK regulator
- Strong experience of working with Portfolio Managers, Business, Group Risk & Compliance
- Experience with Aladdin, Charles River, State Street, Bloomberg Quant
