Start your job searchWe are recruiting for an Interim Director of Investment Risk to join a leading global professional services business, based in London.
This is an interim 6-month contract position with a strong likelihood of an extension to 12 months total.
Start date: September 2024
Daily pay rate inclusive of holiday: £750 to £950 via umbrella inside of IR35.
Hours Worked per Week: 40
Work Location: Hybrid (3/4 days in the office) - London
Detailed Job Description & Requirements:
- 7-10 years of 1st line Investment Risk experience within asset management, wealth management or hedge funds.
- Experience holding Director Level Position within Risk Management.
- Quantitative Risk Background
- Exposure to quantitative modelling techniques for fund counterparty, market, liquidity and credit risk.
- Solid experience in fund liquidity risk, stress testing, redemption modelling.
- Experience dealing with equities, fixed income, real estate asset classes.
- Strong track record in designing and executing an Investment Risk Operating Model in 1st Line covering investment risk and performance measures, setting investment risk, performance attribution metrics, and reg compliance thresholds.
- Experience in design, validation and implementation of MSCI BarraOne, Risk Metrics, State Street Compliance Systems and State Street Alpha Data Platforms (all systems experience required).
- Experience with investment fund compliance (UCITS, AIF NURS, etc), COLL rules, Coll Technical Guidance and Fund rules for Investment Risk
- Strong leadership qualities.
- Able to balance BAU with change projects.
