Job Title: International Payroll Specialist - 6-month Contract - Financial Services

Location: London

Pay Rate: £500 - £650 per day via umbrella

We're recruiting for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join a leading fund management firm working in their dynamic international finance team based in London.

The successful candidate must have 10+ years of experience in Payroll (UK & US Payroll). Working in complex financial services organisation, ideally within medium size financial services firms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process payroll inputs for UK staff including starters, leavers, salary changes, deductions, and pension contributions.
  • Ensure all payroll transactions are captured accurately, reconciled, and paid on time.
  • Support monthly payroll sign-off and reporting processes.
  • Liaise with payroll vendors and internal teams to resolve complex issues and maintain service standards.
  • Monitor compliance with UK payroll legislation, pension auto-enrolment, and HMRC requirements.
  • Work with internal stakeholders on international secondments and cross-border payroll matters.
  • Assist in annual reporting and remuneration processes including survey participation.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline operations and lead implementation of process and system improvements.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of UK & US payroll experience and immediately available to start or on a notice period of 2 weeks or less.
  • Financial Services experience, preferably worked in a medium size financial services firm(s).
  • Working knowledge of UK payroll legislation, pensions, and HMRC regulations.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to spot and correct discrepancies in data.
  • Skilled in Excel and payroll platforms.
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities to tight deadlines.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills across all levels.
