I am currently working with a well-known sports organisation based in London who are looking to hire a Legal Counsel. As part of the role, you will be required to work from their office 3 days a week. This is an amazing opportunity for an England and Wales Qualified Lawyers, either already working in sports, or wishing to work in a large sporting organisation.
The successful candidate will be:
- 2-5 PQE England and Wales Qualified Lawyer
- Knowledgeable and have experience of commercial law (commercial contracts), corporate law, IP, and GDPR/Data Protection law
- Able to think on their feet and act proactively
- A team player with managerial experience a plus
The key responsibilities of the role will include:
- Drafting, amending, and negotiating commercial contracts
- Advising key stakeholders on all legal matters
- Working closely with other members of the team on company projects
- Managing and working with all external counsels that are employed by the company
- Advising the business on legal change and managing implantation to ensure legal compliance
