Brief intro:
With the Irish market continuing to house and develop some of the most exciting Tech firms across the globe, our client is seeking to retain the services of an experienced Corporate Finance professional focusing within the Domestic and International Tech sector.
Given the past 12 months of the Covid pandemic, the environment has changed substantially and technological Investment has increased dramatically. This has expediated the move to a new Social, Environmental and Investment cycle and thus M&A Transactions within this sector are robust and are set to grow at a strong pace over the coming years.
The team is a niche one with huge potential and scope to develop and engage with a list of emerging tech talent and business.
The role:
- Leading/Co-leading M&A transactions which typically encompasses (but is not limited to):
- Advising clients and their c-suite teams within the technology sector and supporting key decision makers in developing and executing strategies for transactions
- Advising clients in relation to funding requirements, funding strategies and options
- Advising clients in relation to exit readiness requirements, disposal strategies and options
- Advising clients on potential acquisition targets and the strategic rationale underpinning the firms views in this regard
- Liaising and working with multiple service line teams both domestically and internationally
- Providing full 'end-to-end' transaction management services to deal completion. This includes drafting/reviewing various marketing materials (teaser/IM), third party approaches, liaising with third party advisors, deal negotiations & problem solving, advising on and reviewing legal documentation and the provision of post completion services.
- Delivering value added advice in client meetings
- Developing an efficient and targeted approach to commercial engagements.
- Develop deep knowledge and expertise across sub-sectors within the technology vertical
The Opportunity!
This is a unique and specific opportunity to join a high performing and specialist team within the Irish market one that is at the forefront of Global technology developments across Fintech, Biotech, Med-tech and all in between.
You will have gained at least 10 years Corporate Finance/M&A experience and have a genuine interest in the Tech sector. A Corporate Finance background within the sector specific is not a pre requisite although a Masters Level tertiary qualification is desirable.
