Management Accountant| 6-12 month FTC | Up to £45k | Lancashire

Marks Sattin are delighted to be recruiting for a proactive and detail-oriented Management Accountant on a fixed term contract. As a Management Accountant, you will provide crucial support to the Senior Accounting team. Your primary responsibilities will include preparing accurate and comprehensive monthly management accounts.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Accurately and timely post journal entries.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations for designated areas.
• Compile monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Assist in audit processes by preparing necessary documentation.
• Support the preparation of year-end statutory accounts.
• Maintain and enhance robust processes and controls in line with Group requirements.
• Ensure consistent documentation of tasks and activities per internal policies.
• Continuously review and improve finance processes and controls.

About you

• Part qualified ACA, ACCA, or CIMA accountant
• Proven experience in preparing monthly management accounts, financial statements, and reports.
• Experience with financial audits and statutory account preparation.
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis and financial modelling.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage and interpret financial data accurately.
• Ability to identify issues, propose solutions, and take proactive steps to address them.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
