The details
A growing and highly respected national business is looking to appoint a commercially minded Management Accountant to join its finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a part-qualified accountant who is looking to step into a broad and visible role within a fast-paced environment.
Working closely with both finance and operational stakeholders, the successful candidate will support monthly reporting, business partnering activities, audit preparation, and process improvement initiatives. The role offers strong exposure across the wider business alongside genuine progression opportunities.
The Role
Key responsibilities will include:
- Preparing monthly management accounts, including journals and balance sheet reconciliations
- Accounting for third-party income and associated costs
- Partnering with FP&A and operational teams to provide insight and analysis on overhead performance
- Supporting technical accounting assessments and preparing management papers
- Assisting with year-end reporting and audit deliverables
- Driving improvements across accounting processes, controls, and reporting efficiencies
- Contributing to the continuous development of finance systems and procedures
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will:
- Be studying towards ACA, ACCA, or CIMA with approximately 1-2 years remaining to qualify
- Have previous experience within industry or a commercial finance environment
- Possess strong Excel and reporting skills
- Be analytical, detail-oriented, and commercially aware
- Demonstrate strong communication skills with the confidence to engage with stakeholders across the business
- Enjoy working within a collaborative and evolving environment
