The Opportunity:
A market leading Private Equity advisory firm who specialise in non-dilutive capital to high-quality Private Equity management companies are looking for a Management Accountant to join their team to spearhead the Management Accountant duties of the firm. The role will include a variety of tasks from budgeting, tax, forecasting and more. This is a role best suited for someone who is a Qualified Accountant with 1-3 years of Post-Qualification Experience in a Financial Services firm.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Preparation of the firm's monthly consolidated management accounts
- In charge of preparing the annual budget including the planning, modelling and presenting to the partner group
- Consolidation of the UK, Luxembourg and US entities in the accounting system
- Continuous monitoring and involvement of ongoing P&L forecasting and scenario analysis in support key decision for the firm
- Overlooking the progress of bookkeeping to ensure all activities are completed
- Provide variance analysis, commentary and insight within the accounts
- Assist in preparation of short- and long-term group cashflow projections
- Preparation of quarterly and annual FCA compliance reporting
- Preparing of VAT returns
- Assist with the review of UK corporate and partnership tax returns
Management Accountant Profile:
- Qualified in ACA, ACCA or CIMA with 1-3 years PQE
- Previous management accountant experience in a relevant field
- Experience working in or overseeing FCA regulated clients and their management accounts
- Strong core accounting skills - exposure to consolidating accounts is key
- Microsoft office proficiency
