We are recruiting for the role of Balance Sheet Modelling Manager within the Balance Sheet Strategy and Analytics function for this well known and respected Financial Services business in Yorkshire.

They are experiencing a high period of growth currently and are going through an exciting transition period, with some very clear career pathways and progression opportunity

This pivotal role involves leading the review and redevelopment of key balance sheet planning models, aligning with the Planning team's requirements and internal governance processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Embed the Planning Model suite into the Model Management & Development model and data landscape, ensuring seamless integration.
  • Design, develop, and deliver necessary changes and redevelopments to meet planning modelling requirements.
  • Implement robust controls and comprehensive documentation to adhere to internal policies and standards.
  • Work closely with the Asset and Liability Management (ALM) team to support appropriate model use and understanding of controls, ensuring alignment with model build requirements.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure developments fit within the established model and data landscape, supporting broader team initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in planning models within financial services and forecasting the balance sheet.
  • Strong skills in data manipulation and modelling using SQL and Excel.
  • Exceptional communication, engagement, and influencing skills, demonstrating the ability to engage at senior levels.
  • Experience with Python, VBA, or other forecasting software.
  • Knowledge of balance sheet risk metrics and modelling.
  • Broad understanding of financial services
  • Experience/knowledge in statistical modelling

There is a very flexible working model and a salary of Up to £65,000 + bonus on offer with great flexibility and employer benefits
