We are partnering with a leading building society within the UK that are looking for an operational risk manager to join the expanding team in Surrey. The building society specialise in mortgages and everyday savings to name a few.

The successful candidate must have at least 3 year's experience in operational risk within the financial services.

The position itself will give the chosen candidate the chance to have significant exposure, work in a flat structure and work directly with the CRO. Examples of responsibilities to expect:

  • Maintain processes within the business for risk assessment
  • Review and challenge the operational plans and risk policies
  • Review and enhance the stress tests undertaken within the group

Candidate requirements:

  • At least 3 year's experience in operational risk within the financial services
  • Working towards International Certificate in Risk Management (IRM) or equivalent
  • Experience in thematic challenge of processes, methodologies and policies
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Mortgage lending experience is preferable but not essential
