Delighted to be supporting a long standing business to recruit a Payroll Administrator to join a busy, supportive payroll team, reporting into the Assistant Payroll Manager. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate and timely processing of UK payrolls, supporting the Payroll Manager.

This is a transactional, hands‑on role ideal for someone with strong attention to detail and experience working in a fast‑paced payroll environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Payroll onboarding - setting up new starters
• Payroll off‑boarding - processing leavers and final pay
• Adding employees to the P11D system
• Administering private medical schemes
• Responding to employee payroll queries and escalating when needed
• Ad‑hoc payroll processing and data input
• Completing peer‑review checks to meet SOX control requirements
• Supporting payroll compliance and rate audits with accurate data
• Electronic filing and general payroll administration (payslips, P11Ds, documentation)
• Adhering to all SOX control responsibilities

What We're Looking For

• 1+ years' experience in a busy payroll department (desirable)
• Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to work to deadlines with high accuracy
• Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload
• Experience with iTrent or Workday Payroll (desirable)
• Competent user of Microsoft Word and Excel

Leeds | Hybrid (2-3 days onsite) 3-6 month contract | Inside IR35 | Umbrella | £160 per day
