The details
Marks Sattin is proud to be supporting a leading organisation in their search a Payroll Specialist to join their team on a fixed-term basis, dedicated to the successful implementation of a brand-new payroll system.
This is a fantastic opportunity for payroll professionals with strong technical expertise to play a key role in shaping the future of the payroll function.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with the Payroll Manager to support all phases of the system implementation.
- Contribute to the full delivery lifecycle of the new payroll system.
- Work closely with stakeholders to gather and deliver payroll requirements.
- Lead system testing, parallel runs, and payroll output validation.
- Create and refine process documentation, training guides, and user materials.
- Ensure full compliance with UK payroll legislation, HMRC standards, and employment law.
- Act as a payroll subject matter expert throughout the project.
- Proactively identify risks, resolve issues, and suggest process improvements.
About You
- In-depth understanding of UK payroll legislation, statutory obligations, and employment law.
- Exceptional attention to detail with strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive, self-starting approach.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the confidence to challenge and influence effectively.
- CIPP qualification is a plus.
