I am recruiting for a Performance Risk Analyst to join the Asset Management division of UK's largest Merchant Banking Group.

You will be paid a competitive salary with the entitlement to an exceptional pension scheme and performance related bonuses while receiving a generous holiday allowance and other exceptional range of benefits.

The successful candidate must have 3+ years in performance & attribution measurement.

Hybrid working is also on offer.

Examples of responsibilities to expect:

  • Assist in the development of and deployment of investment analytics and reports within the system to facilitate market/portfolio performance and risk analysis.
  • Aid and lead on a deep dive and reconciliation of the investment book of records into internal systems and processes to define data flows, inputs, outputs and end users of these reports/outputs.
  • Define and document methodologies and processes to assist with the implementation and ongoing knowledge bank. This centres on the development of performance and risk dashboards, reports, as well as customization of these for specific clients.
  • Review requirements, create and test these within the new performance engine and strive to deliver high quality maintainable practices.
  • Analysis of data retrieval/usage from various vendors, identification of heavy data calls, duplications to aid with cleansing and streamlining the processes for the end user application
  • Lead initiatives to create solutions to our internal and external client demands and challenge, and to continuously improve the infrastructure and control environment.
  • Create prototype solution using core performance platform components to articulate requirements for the Funds.
  • Provide a link between the Risk team and the IT teams.

Candidate Requirements:

  • 3 years + experience in performance and attribution measurement
  • Demonstrated experience in working with complex datasets.
  • Comfortable with reconciliation work and data scraping from accounts/book of records.
  • Proficiency/experience with FactSet (Portfolio Analytics, Data Central, Composite Asset Builder), secondly Bloomberg (PRTU & PORT).
  • Attention to detail.
  • Numerate and methodical with a proactive approach to solving problems.
  • Effective communicator, being comfortable discussing results with a variety of business stakeholders
