Personal Tax Manager | Liverpool | £50,000 + Benefits

The Role

Working closely with the Head of Personal Tax, you will lead and develop a team delivering high-quality personal tax compliance and advisory services. You'll manage a varied portfolio of clients, oversee technical delivery, and support the continued growth and development of the team.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing a portfolio of personal tax clients, ensuring timely and accurate compliance delivery
• Reviewing self-assessment tax returns and maintaining high technical standards
• Leading, supervising and mentoring junior team members
• Building strong client relationships and identifying advisory opportunities
• Providing advice across areas such as inheritance tax, capital gains tax, and share schemes
• Liaising closely with corporate tax colleagues to support client requirements
• Managing HMRC correspondence and compliance matters
• Supporting continuous improvement of systems, processes and client service delivery

About You

• ATT or CTA qualified (or part-qualified with strong relevant experience)
• At least three years' experience within a private practice tax environment
• Strong technical knowledge across personal tax compliance and advisory
• Proven ability to manage client relationships and deliver excellent service
