We are representing a highly regarded fund administrator who are looking to recruit a qualified accountant. This is to join their London based team as a fund accountant.

The role will see you take responsibility for supervising a small team of fund accountants providing accounting services to a selection of exceptional real estate focused private equity fund managers. The position will leverage off the skills and knowledge learned from your accountancy qualification whilst also providing you with challenges, new experiences and the opportunity to learn and develop. Specifically your responsibilities will include;

  • Primary contact for clients with daily contact and regular in-person client meetings;
  • Take ownership of portfolios of clients and customer relationships; implement policies, procedures and checklists;
  • Compile and analyse financial information underlying the financial statements, including the treatment of business transactions;
  • Oversee preparation of management accounts both at asset and fund level, including supporting files and review of all work produced by team;
  • Preparation of consolidations;
  • Bank debt covenant reporting;
  • Production of quarterly NAVs;
  • Investor tax, CIS and VAT reporting;
  • Responsible for team planning, monitoring deadlines and coaching and developing junior staff members;
  • Cashflow forecasting and treasury work;
  • Plan year end audit including audit files and liaise with external auditors and clients;
  • Prepare statutory financial statements in accordance with IFRS or UK GAAP; and
  • Contribute recommendations for improving the organisation's operations.

This role provides the perfect springboard into private equity for those without private equity audit experience.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) with experience in preparation of annual accounts; an individual from a Mid-Tier accountancy practice with their ACA qualification would be strong fit.

Remuneration will be in the region of £50,000 - £60,000 depending on experience.
