My client is a well-respected Real Estate Investment Fund with offices based in Soho, Central London. They are looking for a Real Estate Fund Accountant to come on-board ASAP for an initial 12-month fixed term contract. All going well, there would be capacity to extend beyond this point into a permanent role.

Main duties would include but are not limited to:

  • Production of financial statements and quarterly reports
  • Distribution/drawdown notices
  • Priority Profit Share calculations
  • Cash flow management for funds
  • Full management of the fund/group audit process
  • Responding to Investor queries
  • Assisting Corporate finance/investment professionals/Luxembourg in tax structuring during the acquisition process
  • Assisting Asset Managers during the Investment Hold phase and sale process
  • Assisting in legal documentation required for completing investments
  • Assisting/managing due diligence costs
  • UK/US tax processes

The successful candidate would be ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent with at least 1 years post qualified experience with Fund Accounting withing Real Estate (ideally this would be 2+). This could come from working in-house at a Real Estate Fund or from having RE clients in a practice or Fund Administration environment.

Strong IFRS knowledge and understanding of other European GAAP standards would be a distinct advantage.

In return, you would be working in a collegiate and friendly environment with a solid team with low turnover. You would also be working on a hybrid basis of 3-4 days in the office and at-least one day from home (more likely two).
