Regulatory Reporting Accountant - Contract (Potential Temp to Perm)

Location: London (Hybrid: 3 days in office)

Pay Rate: £450 - £550 per day via umbrella

We're seeking a technically strong Regulatory Reporting Accountant with Markets experience to join a high growth Investment Bank in London. This role is ideal for an accountant who enjoys working with detailed financial data, interpreting regulatory rules, and ensuring high-quality reporting across the bank.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate daily financial and regulatory metrics, including capital, liquidity and balance sheet ratios, for use by Treasury and senior finance stakeholders.
  • Manage the production of essential regulatory returns such as COR011, COR012, COR017 and PRA110.
  • Deliver end-of-month liquidity and funding figures, ensuring completeness and consistency with the general ledger.
  • Support the finance team in supplying high-quality data for key regulatory documents including the ILAAP and RRP.
  • Maintain and improve month-end and quarterly reporting procedures, updating them to reflect new accounting or regulatory requirements.
  • Refresh daily reporting guidance and contribute to enhancements in reporting processes.
  • Provide accounting-focused technical support to business teams and senior management on issues relating to regulatory and daily reporting.

About You:

  • Ideally ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualified, or progressing toward completion.
  • Minimum four years' experience in financial services within finance, financial control or regulatory reporting, with strong grounding in accounting principles and liquidity-related reporting.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive and comfortable handling complex financial data.
  • Strong communicator who can explain accounting and reporting matters clearly across the business.
  • Able to meet tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy and high professional standards.
