Senior Financial Accountant (2-5 Years PQE) - Contract

Fintech Business - London - 3 days a week in the office

This role would suit professionals who are 2-5 years PQE, who are looking to step into controller role.

We are recruiting for a fast-scaling fintech delivering financial analytics and credit risk solutions to some of the world's most sophisticated financial organisations.

Key Responsibilities:

You'll report directly to the Finance Director and CEO, overseeing the day-to-day running of our core finance activities, including:

  • Managing accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and cash flow
  • Overseeing the preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Handling employee expenses and treasury functions
  • Coordinating with UK and US tax advisors for filings and compliance
  • Supporting financial process improvements as we scale

Requirements:

We're looking for a proactive, hands-on financial professional who thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

  • Immediately Available to start employment or under a notice period of less than 2 weeks.
  • University Degree Educated.
  • 2-5 Years PQE (CA, CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Prior experience in financial control or financial analysis
  • Experience in managing international finance operations and multi-currency accounts would be a plus!
  • A strong understanding of UK GAAP and key accounting principles
  • Advanced Excel and MS Office skills
  • Experience with financial systems, preferably Xero or similar ERP tools
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
