Senior Financial Reporting - Solvency II - 6-Month Contract
We are recruiting for a senior financial reporting accountant with a strong understanding of Solvency II to join a renown Insurance firm that specialises in life and non-life insurance.
Location: London (hybrid working) ;Day Rate: £600 - £700 per day via umbrella
The successful candidate must be a qualified accountant, preferably (ACA or ACCA). Must have Solvency II Reporting experience and worked in the Insurance sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and support quarterly and annual Solvency II pillar 3 reporting (QRTs, commentary, SFCR, and RSR).
- Develop and enhance controls and process improvements to ensure efficient and consistent reporting.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for UK and US entities.
- Calculate Solvency II regulatory capital resources and technical provisions for relevant entities.
- Produce quarterly and annual reports
- Conduct SCR calculations using the standard formula for quarterly and annual reporting.
- Provide commentary, interpretation of results, and ad hoc SCR modelling for business changes.
- Support ORSA process, including report production, stress testing, and long-term SCR projections.
- Assess impact of new regulatory requirements or organisational changes on capital resources and reporting.
- Maintain internal policies aligned with Solvency II requirements, covering investments, technical provisions, and actuarial functions.
Requirements:
- Immediately available to start or with a short notice period
- You must be a qualified accountant preferably ACA or ACCA
- Strong experience in Solvency II reporting, including pillar 3, ORSA calculations, and full-cycle regulatory reporting.
- Excellent accounting skills and knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS accounting.
- High attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
