Tax Assistant - Chester/ Hybrid - £25,000 - £28,000 DOE with Great Benefits Package

Marks Sattin, collaborating with a global manufacturing corporation expand their Tax Team. Within this role you will provide support across group taxes, covering the Americas, ASPAC and EMEA regions. The role will be directly supporting and working with the Indirect Tax Manager and two regional Corporate Tax Leads.

They are looking for an enthusiastic and adaptable individual eager to learn and contribute. Making this a perfect opportunity for an individual starting out in their Tax Career.

The Role:

This is a chance to join a dynamic culture for a driven individual who can work on their own initiative and as part of a team.

Day to Day:

  • As part of a team, compiling and analysing data required to complete VAT and other indirect tax submissions across regions
  • Liaison with internal and external stakeholders
  • Preparing and auditing of monthly VAT account reconciliations
  • Prepare tax returns
  • Support preparing quarterly and annual tax reporting for the group
  • Assisting on various tax projects
  • Occasional advisory work
  • Ad hoc requests

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience working within Finance or Tax
  • Experience working as part of a team in a fast paced environments
  • Comfortable using Excel, with the capacity to use functions, features and formulas to organise and analyse data

  • Flexible working with core hours between 10am and 3pm
  • Annual Bonus of 4% - depending on personal and business performance this can increase
  • 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays. These increase to 28 in line with service
  • Pension: on joining 5% / 5%, after probation period, this can move up to 10% / 15%
  • Healthcare: taxable benefit for employee, can add spouse/partner/children at their own cos
