Tax Manager - 15 Month FTC / East Yorkshire - Hybrid / £40,000 - £55,000 + Excellent Benefits

Marks Sattin are delighted to be partnering with a well-established manufacturing organisation seeking to recruit a Tax Manager on a 15-month fixed-term contract. This opportunity has arisen to provide comprehensive handover cover for

maternity leave, ensuring a smooth transition within a busy and collaborative tax department.

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified tax professional to join a high-performing Group Finance function at a pivotal time, supporting a broad range of tax related activities while working closely with the Group Tax Director.

  • There is also flexibility for remote working, 4-day week or reduced hours over 5 days.

The Role

As Tax Manager, you will play a key role in delivering accurate and timely tax compliance, reporting, and governance across the UK operations. You'll also support strategic projects, provide technical tax advice, and ensure adherence to best practices in tax management and control.

Day-to-day :

  • Supporting delivery of the Group's tax strategy, including the preparation of UK tax computations, incentives, and claims.
  • Managing UK tax reporting, compliance, forecasting, and payments.
  • Ensuring compliance with Senior Accounting Officer obligations and maintaining a robust tax control framework.
  • Providing technical advice on new UK tax legislation and assisting with the interpretation and communication of complex tax issues.
  • Supporting UK Transfer Pricing and Pillar 2 compliance, working with external advisors as required.
  • Preparing tax disclosures and provisions for financial reporting and liaising with auditors.
  • Partnering with stakeholders across the business to provide proactive and practical tax guidance.
  • Supporting wider projects, including restructuring and M&A activity, to optimise tax efficiency and manage risk.
  • Assisting with VAT compliance processes and providing technical support where required.

Skills:

  • Qualified ACA, ACCA or CTA
  • Strong tax experience.
  • Demonstrated experience managing corporate tax compliance and reporting within a group environment.
  • A proactive and adaptable team player who can "hit the ground running" in a fast-paced department.
